Job description

Role Summary 

As a Guest Services Team Member, you will assist Museum guests with ticket purchases, upgrades and addons, validate entry, provide directional information and details about the various museum layout and offerings.  You will be the first point of contact to welcome each guest and create a seamless entry experience.  

Essential Functions 

  • Assist Guests with ticket purchases using established ticketing software and POS system.  

  • Answer Guest Services calls and troubleshoot any ticketing issues 

  •  Utilize prescribed selling techniques to upgrade tickets, memberships and add-on entitlements. 

  • Validate tickets already purchased for museum entry.  

  • Welcome Guests to the museum and provide directional assistance as needed.  

  • Ensure safety of our guests while in your assigned area 

  • All other duties as assigned.  

Skills and Qualifications 

To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 

  • Must be at least 18 years old. 

  • Prior experience in hospitality a plus. 

  • High level of professionalism and customer service. 

  • Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. 

  • Excellent interpersonal and phone communication skills. (Written and verbal)  

  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for long periods of time.
