Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Lab Technologist, you will perform vital clinical laboratory procedures to detect, identify, measure, and report data crucial for disease diagnosis and treatment.
Every day, you will expertly conduct waived and moderate procedures using technical skills, instrumentation, and information systems. You will be expected to provide essential clinical laboratory support while ensuring the quality and accuracy of all tests under leadership direction.
To be successful in this role, you must possess comprehensive knowledge of laboratory principles across various disciplines (microbiology, hematology, chemistry, etc.), understand sample processing and result interpretation, prioritize chemical and biological safety, and be adept at operating and maintaining lab equipment.

  • Aligning with local and state requirements, performs lab test procedures on patient specimens, adhering to the Section’s Standard Operating Procedures to ensure accurate, timely reporting.
  • Provides excellent patient care through clinical correlation of results, identification of patterns of bias, rapid notification of appropriate caregivers of critical values, and completion of testing within established turnaround-time limits
  • Ensures that major automated equipment is operational by performing required maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting procedures, including contacting the instrument vendor for assistance or repair
  • Performs required calibration and quality control procedures and maintains records to ensure tests are being performed within established parameters
  • Performs proficiency testing as assigned and reviews results with laboratory clinical leaders
  • Assists in the evaluation and generation of compliant documentation for the validation of new procedures and equipment to provide the physician with the most current laboratory technology

We are offering $10k relocation to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. 

Job RequirementsRequired
  • Associate’s Degree in a biological or chemical science as defined by CLIA or

  • High School or GED and completed an official military medical laboratory course and held the military enlisted occupational speciality of Medical Laboratory Specialist (Lab Technician)
  • Must be appropriately trained in clinical laboratory science as evaluated by the Director of the Clinical Laboratory
Preferred
  • Medical Laboratory Technician AMT (MLT-AMT) 

  • Medical Laboratory Technician ASCP (MLT) 

  • Medical Lab Tech AAB (MLTECH)
