Job description

Job Purpose
Responsible for the procurement execution of the various sub-commodities within the Mechatronics & Electronics scope, including but not limited to solenoids, motors, actuators, pumps and busbars . Provides input and in some cases, leads GCS for sub-commodities of Mechatronics and Electronics while also managing spend and savings reporting against assigned KPIs. Completes necessary procurement work assigned by management. Executes requests for information (RFI) or quote (RFQ) according to GCS direction.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Execute strategy for the assigned commodities
• Leads supplier re-sourcing and VAVE projects under the direction of the GCS lead
• Supports cost reduction activities in line with global and regional material cost reduction targets
• Understands Dana's standard Terms and Conditions
• Ability to maintain control of multiple projects to meet timing, anticipates and resolves 'roadblocks' for successful PPAP and launch
• Monitors technical review progress with the cross-functional teams
• Drives and tracks savings projects and reports accurate forecasts and actuals in Savings Tracker
• Promotes cost reduction activities with key suppliers and shares best practices
• Presents special assignments results, project updates and such to Dana management as required
• Other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications
• Four-year degree in Business (Supply Chain Management or Purchasing preferred) or four-year degree in Engineering (Product or Manufacturing)
• 5-7 years of experience preferred
• Understands drawings and technical specifications
• Maintains an organized and professional manner when representing Dana
• Willing to travel as required (estimate 10%)
• Strong personal computer skills required, including experience with MS Office Software
• Complies to the Ethics policy and holds others accountable for ethical conduct
• Fluent in English
