Position Overview

As a Mechanical Superintendent, you will be expected to bring an expertise in the assembly and installation of equipment on gas turbines, steam turbines, pumps and compressors. You will oversee field activities, supervise General Foremen/Foreman and Craft Workers, interact with Techcnical Field Representatives, maintain schedule and cost control, ensure compliance with drawings and specifications, work with Quality Personnel to validate and document installation to manufacturuer specifications, and manage work assignments to ensure project execution. 

For this role, we are looking for Millwright, Boilermaker, and Piping Superintendent/Supervisors

District Overview

Kiewit Power Constructors (KPC) provides direct-hire construction services for Power Generation utilizing a union craft force.  Kiewit Power Constructors builds major EPC power plant and solar projects throughout North America. We offer integrated engineering, procurement, construction and startup service needs, specializing in gas and coal-fired power generation, coal retrofit and renewable energy.  

Location

We are looking for people for various projects across the Midwest and other locations as needed.  Project locations could be OH, TX, PA etc...

Responsibilities

    Provide supervisory direction of craft workers managing the performance of productivity, safety, quality and schedule adherence
    Planning, scheduling and execution of field operations ensuring compliance with erection manuals and quality procedures for your assigned scope of work.
    Coordinate and interface with other superintendents and subcontractors, to ensure smooth workflow and schedule adherence  
    Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties, informing project and corporate management as appropriate
    Ensure project rules, procedures and programs are followed consistently, including those involving safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards as reflected in Company's non-harassment and nondiscrimination policies

Qualifications

    5+ years' work experience in mechanical scopes of work.  Candidates for this role do not have to have Superintendent experience, those who have filled foreman and general foreman roles are encouraged to apply. Previous knowledge/experience in rotating equipment installation
    Demonstrated ability to efficiently supervise and evaluate craft performance
    Ability to travel as needed
    Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for excellence and taking initiative 
    Strong work ethic, willing to do what it takes to get the job done right the first time 
    Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity 
    Passion for safety, with the ability to help us ensure that nobody gets hurt 
    Team player with the ability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives 
    Strong organization, time management, and attention to detail

Base Compensation: $138,000/yr - $165,000/yr

(Actual compensation is subject to variation due to such factors as education, experience, skillset, and/or location)
