Job description

Mastech Digital provides digital and mainstream technology staff as well as Digital Transformation Services for all American Corporations. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for our client in the IT-Services domain. We value our professionals, providing comprehensive benefits and the opportunity for growth. This is a Contract position, and the client is looking for someone to start immediately.

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Northridge, CA

Salary: $60.00-$65.00/Hourly

Role: Mechanical Engineer

Primary Skills: Mechanical Engineering

Role Description: The Mechanical Engineer must have 5+ years of experience.

Key Job Responsibilities:

- Generate detailed designs via CAD systems and engineering drawings with appropriate geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

- Support space hardware qualification/acceptance campaigns including:

โ€ข Deliver well-written test plans, procedures, and reports

โ€ข Design of test fixtures

โ€ข Assembly and build of test/flight hardware

- Develop space hardware assembly build procedures

- Perform mechanical builds of prototype or space hardware

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience working with cross-functional teams and a strong ability to collaborate.

- Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, and Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience

- 3+ years of experience with Siemens NX CAD package (Siemens NX, NX Teamcenter, GD&T per ASME y14.5)

- 3+ years of experience in space hardware assembly, integration and test

- Familiar with mechanical test instrumentation such as thermocouples, RTDs, accelerometers, etc.

- Familiar with mechanical assembly, typical assembly tools, and space hardware build best practices.

Education: Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Mechanical, Structural, and Aeronautical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience

Relocation: This position will not cover relocation expenses

Travel: No

Note: Must be able to work on a W2 basis (No C2C)
