Mechanical Engineer

Key service areas include Engineering Design and Documentation; Software Development and Testing; System Integration, Testing and Evaluation; Lab Management and Field Installation; Integrated Logistics Support, Training Development and Delivery, Multimedia Support, and Technical System Support.
Mechanical Engineer Job Description:
Research, plan, design, and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products and systems for testing and production. Performs analysis and testing on complex designs to meet varying requirements and conditions. Success in this position requires an assertive, confident attitude and a commitment to working as a part of a team to meet critical delivery schedules.
Mechanical Engineer Required Tasks:
โ€ข Designs and develops mechanical and/or electromechanical products.
โ€ข Conducts stress, structural/dynamic, and thermal design testing and analysis relating to packaging of electronic/COTS equipment in multiple military platforms.
โ€ข Supports the preparation, planning, setup, and execution of Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) (shock and vibration, temperature, humidity, and altitude testing).
โ€ข Supports the preparation, planning, setup, and execution of Engineering Development Model (EDM) build, qualification, and production.
Mechanical Engineer Requirements:
โ€ข Experience with 3D CAD modeling.
โ€ข Experience performing engineering testing in a laboratory environment.
โ€ข Strong communication skills and able to explain design issues and solutions.
Mechanical Engineer Highly Desired Skills:
โ€ข Experience with Creo (ProEngineer).
โ€ข Experience 3D Finite Element Analysis.
โ€ข Experience with 3D Printing.
Mechanical Engineer Additional Requirements:
โ€ข Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline and three or more years of related professional experience.
โ€ข Proactive/self-starter. Task driven with ability to work independently.
โ€ข Team player that takes ownership and develops relationships with team members which fosters team success.
โ€ข Must be U.S. citizen able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level security clearance. Must have clearance to begin work.
