The Job:

As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be part of our Tools & Outdoor team working as an Onsite employee with our Hustler team. This position is responsible for Engineering activities related to developing, designing, and supporting in the Outdoor Power Equipment platforms at our Hesston, Kansas facility. You will interface with the complimentary Product Design Groups, Testing, Regulatory, Quality, Product Marketing, and Manufacturing. You'll get to:

  • Develops new product designs using sound engineering practices.
  • Manages projects to ensure on-time completion.
  • Plans, schedules and coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work as a part of major projects or as a total project of minor scope.
  • Directs the preparation of product or solution using detailed models and drawings.
  • Coordinates the manufacturing of prototype products.
  • Works with Test Group to plan and develop experimental test programs.
  • Coordinates building and/or modifying Bill of Material with Manufacturing Engineering Group.
  • Work with research and other engineering groups to prepare design modifications as required.
  • Supports the design-related issues that arise within the product manufacturing facilities.

  • 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical design.

  • Knowledge of product design and manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of hydraulic systems and components preferred.

The Salary range for this position is $64,400.00 - $103,700.00
