Job description

Job Description One Tech Engineering is looking for a Mechanical Engineer for a position located in Wausau, Wisconsin. The Mechanical Engineer will design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems for industrial and electrical generation facilities along with generating all design work associated with assigned projects, including design reports, documentation, and programming. The candidate must be a US Citizen or a green card holder, the position is not eligible for sponsorship.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a technical degree plus 5 years of related experience. Local candidates preferred. This is not a remote position.

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities: Commissioning of mechanical and hydraulic systems. Design and implement mechanical and hydraulic systems. Design hydraulic schematic diagrams.

Design, develop, test, and start-up projects as requested. Interpret mechanical drawings. Perform demolition and installation engineering.

Perform design reviews. Perform FAT, installation supervision, SAT, customer training, and system commissioning as requested. Perform hydraulic calculations for system sizing and component selection.

Perform mechanical calculations for system sizing and component selection. Perform Mechanical Design. Perform onsite inspections and project "kick-off" meetings as assigned.

Perform peer reviews. Prepare O&M manual, factory acceptance test (FAT), installation, site acceptance test (SAT), and customer training documents. Provide installation conceptual system engineering.

Provide static and dynamic calculations. Design machines, brackets, supports, and piping for a variety of new and existing equipment. Support Engineering division as requested.

Utilize electrical and hydraulic test equipment. Work effectively with all other project team members such as control, electrical, HMI, and mechanical disciplines. Work with mechanical designers to develop mechanical and hydraulic drawings.

Requirements for the Mechanical Engineer: Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a technical degree plus 5 years of related experience. Experience with hydraulic systems, including hydraulic power units, hydraulic control manifolds, and hydraulic cylinders. Strong conceptualization ability along with strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, including the ability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams.

Experience with Autodesk Inventor. USA or Canadian Professional engineering registration or the ability to become registered. Ability to travel more than 30% domestically and internationally.
