Mechanical Engineer

QComp Technologies is a robotic systems integrator in the Fox Valley that serves clients throughout the United States and Canada. Our company, which is based in Greenville, has approximately 30 employees and provides robotic packaging systems, material handling systems and automation line integration for clients in the flat glass, solar, consumer products, food, pharmaceutical, plastics, paper, and metals industries.


In an effort to support our continued growth of our Engineering Team, we have created an excellent opportunity for an individual to join the QComp team as a Mechanical Engineer.

In this role, you will be exposed to a variety of industrial and peripheral equipment to be integrated into a functioning custom solution to meet our customersโ€™ requirements.


QComp Technologies recently added a 2,500 square foot addition to their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Greenville, Wisconsin, which brings their total plant capacity to 30,000 square feet. QComp engineers, programs, assembles, stages and tests the complete robot cell at the Greenville location, in our environmentally controlled shop.


Job Responsibilities and Duties:

ยท Efficient industrial equipment design, drafting and procurement to ensure our robot based automated solutions perform to our customersโ€™ standards: including but not limited to EOAT, conveyors, complex machines, stands, pneumatics/vacuum, hydraulics, and safety components

ยท Trouble-shooting complex application and technical problems with our talented team of engineers and technicians to develop the most cost-effective and complete solution`

ยท Participating in regular project meetings to ensure projects are on time and progressing as planned

ยท Representing QComp in customer meetings to provide technical advice and creative solutions to exceed our customersโ€™ expectations

ยท Creating and cataloguing of sales and engineering drawings and spare parts lists and other engineering documents in Excel, Access, Adobe, Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD

ยท Ensuring a smooth project start up by supporting our Engineers

Requirements:

Qualifications & Experience:

ยท Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / 2-year certificate in Mechanical Design or equivalent

ยท Deep desire to be an efficient machine designer

ยท 2+ years of experience designing automation equipment (with 4-year degree)/ 4+ years of experience (with 2-year certificate)

ยท Proficiency working in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCADโ€“ required

ยท Proficiency working in Autodesk Vault -preferred

ยท Experience assisting Sales in developing proposals, estimating and creating Sales drawings โ€“ a plus

ยท Experience with ABB, Fanuc and Staubli robots โ€“ a plus
