HOURS / SHIFT: 2nd Shift 1:00pm to 9:30pm

DESCRIPTION:

Responsible for diagnosing malfunctions on machinery and performing adjustments or repairs to return equipment to peak operating efficiency producing product to specification. Perform all necessary maintenance for building, manufacturing, equipment and grounds. To ensure all activities are handled in accordance with Finlay’s mission, business philosophy, ethics, and goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Rebuild machine and sub-assemblies. Perform major equipment overhaul or rebuilding.
  • Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs on all equipment.
  • Repair and fabricate parts using hand tools and welding equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform quality repairs in compliance with high Finlays standards.
  • Respond and work quickly to production machine requirements.
  • Ability to perform facilities maintenance activities.
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Safety Practices.
  • Perform any plant work as deemed necessary by Maintenance Supervisor and Plant Manager.
  • Maintain inventory of all necessary machine parts and maintenance supplies as directed by Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Able to travel between sites, Lincoln and Cranston, when needed.


QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be flexible to allow work scheduling around production hours.
  • Must have knowledge of electronics.
  • Must have knowledge of CMMS systems to enter, track, and close maintenance work orders, support preventive maintenance activities, and assist with spare parts inventory control.
  • Able to read electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
  • Able to use multimeters and hand measuring instruments.
  • Able to weld or be trained to weld.
  • 3 to 5 years manufacturing mechanical maintenance experience.
  • Related trade certificate or 2 years technical experience.
  • Forklift Certified.

  • Work Environment: Warehouse Setting - Noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud depending on type of work being performed. Able to handle working in heights and in a humid and hot environment.
  • Physical Requirements: Able to relocate 50 pounds. Able to stand, bend, and stretch.
