The position is based in New Century, Kansas, on-site. You will join a collaborative, curious, and solution-oriented Culinary Applications team, where knowledge sharing, experimentation, and customer impact are part of everyday work. Together, we challenge existing solutions and shape the preferred application concepts of the future. Your potential is our inspiration.

Where You'll Make a Difference

  • Deliver technical application support for Meat applications across the NOAM region through direct customer engagement and on-site visits
  • Apply ingredient technologies to address customer needs through practical, scalable application solutions
  • Design, execute, and follow up on application trials and projects, both internally and at customer sites
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across Applications, Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, and other internal stakeholders
  • Develop new application concepts aligned with strategic objectives, market trends, and new product launches
  • Prepare clear and structured technical documentation, reports, and trial summaries
  • Train customers and internal colleagues in applications, processes, and product usage
  • Support Research & Development activities, including contributions to innovation projects and patent-related work
  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives across IFF

What Makes You the Right Fit

  • Relevant educational background, minimum of Bachelors of Science, but preferably Master's Degree and/or PhD, combined with a minimum 10 years of experience in the food industry
  • Demonstrated experience working in or with commercial meat manufacturing environments, including plant trials and scale-up support
  • Strong technical knowledge of proteins, hydrocolloids, and/or food protection ingredients
  • In-depth understanding of food chemistry and nutrition
  • Practical experience with manufacturing processes, pilot plants, and analytical techniques
  • Hands-on technical expertise combined with a customer- and business-oriented mindset
  • Self-driven and proactive, taking ownership of tasks and driving them to completion
  • Structured and disciplined, ensuring trials are fully documented and knowledge is shared
  • Comfortable interacting with, training, and presenting to customers and colleagues
  • Willingness to work full-time in laboratory and pilot plant environments and to travel up to 30% of the time
