To thrive as a Meadows Manager, you need expertise in land management, ecology, and conservation, typically supported by a degree in environmental science or a related field. These competencies are crucial to maintaining healthy meadow ecosystems and ensuring sustainable land use practices.

What is a meadow?

Meadows are open habitats or fields that are dominated by grasses and non-woody plants rather than trees or large shrubs. They play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity, providing habitat for a wide variety of plants, insects, birds, and other wildlife. Meadows are often managed through mowing, grazing, or controlled burns to maintain their open character and prevent the encroachment of woody vegetation. They also contribute to ecosystem services such as pollination, soil health, and water filtration.
