Job description

Join a Growing Property Management Company

Timeless Properties Detroit is seeking a Michigan Certified Commercial Pesticide Applicator to lead the pest management program across our portfolio of apartment communities throughout Metro Detroit.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced applicator looking to move away from production quotas, residential door-to-door routes, and sales pressure. Our focus is preventative pest management, quality workmanship, resident satisfaction, and maintaining clean, healthy communities.

Position Summary

The Commercial Pest Management Technician is responsible for inspecting, treating, monitoring, and preventing pest activity at apartment communities managed by Timeless Properties Detroit. The successful candidate will work independently while coordinating with our maintenance and property management teams to ensure effective Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine pest inspections throughout apartment communities.
  • Apply pesticides safely and in accordance with all MDARD and EPA regulations.
  • Diagnose and treat infestations including:
    • Cockroaches
    • Bed Bugs
    • Ants
    • Rodents
    • Spiders
    • Wasps
    • Other structural pests
  • Develop and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies.
  • Install and monitor rodent bait stations and monitoring devices.
  • Perform exclusion work including sealing common pest entry points.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and application logs.
  • Communicate treatment plans and recommendations with property managers and maintenance staff.
  • Educate residents on sanitation and prevention practices when necessary.
  • Assist residents with issues in their homes to achieve our pest control goals.
  • Maintain pesticide inventory and company equipment.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and professionally.

Qualifications

Required

  • Michigan Commercial Pesticide Applicator Certification (MDARD)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in crawl spaces, basements, and outdoor environments
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience treating multifamily housing
  • Knowledge of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
  • Experience with bed bug treatment programs
  • Maintenance and exclusion experience

What We Offer

  • Full-time, year-round employment
  • Competitive hourly pay based on experience
  • Company-issued tools and application equipment
  • Paid training and continuing education
  • Opportunity for advancement as our portfolio continues to grow
  • Supportive team environment focused on quality over production

Why Work With Us?

Unlike traditional pest control companies, our technicians work within a dedicated portfolio of apartment communities. You'll build relationships with property teams, take pride in long-term results, and have the time and support needed to perform quality work—not rush through appointments.

If you're looking for stability, professionalism, and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a growing company, we'd like to hear from you.

Apply today by submitting your resume and current MDARD certification.
