McLeod Health Carolina Forest is seeking a Hospitalist APP!
Job Description
McLeod Health is seeking an experienced and hardworking Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA-C) to join our Hospitalist team at the Carolina Forest campus. This position provides comprehensive inpatient care during overnight hours and requires a clinician who can work independently while collaborating with physicians and the care team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Qualifications
  • NP or PA degree required
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • *** Minimum 3 years of inpatient experience required (new grads not accepted) ***
  • Ability to work independently, organized, and experienced in hospital medicine
Make-up of Practice
Nights: 2 physicians on-site; APP works independently
General support staff includes nursing and clerical support
Schedule
Full-time, 84 hours bi-weekly
Night shifts only
No call responsibilities
Responsibilities
  • 100% inpatient responsibility
  • Perform physical exams and assess patient needs
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests
  • Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
  • Document findings and maintain accurate medical records
  • Coordinate discharge planning with case management
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

Orientation
Approximately 6 weeks of shadowing and training paired with another APP.
