We think about the customer and make doing business with McCain easy.    McCain Foods is accepting applications for a Packaging Lead Person position, to work a 12-hour night shift at the Burley, Idaho plant.   Summary Coordinates employees in the packaging depa1iment while carrying out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Operates Packaging Department as needed in Supervisors absence.  Accountabilities:  I. Organizes labor for the packaging area. Optimizes packaging opportunities. Plans for rework of held and restricted product. Organizes and plan rework of toted products in the cold room. Communicates with Packaging QA and make adjustments to maintain quality standards. Communicates with Packaging and Processing Supervisors to ensure decisions are made in a timely and cost effective manner. Understands and adheres to theconcepts and techniques of the quality process in order to assure a quality operation. Accurately completes required records and reports. Assists in anticipating personnel scheduling requirements/needs. Works closely with Packaging Supervisor and packagil\g personnel to ensure that Good Manufacturing practices are being followed. Promotes and adheres to company safety regulations. Perf01ms job functions with little supervision required. Helps to build and promote a strong "Teamwork" environment in each indiyjdual work group, the factory, and the Company. May be required to participate in a continuous improvement process, such as an Employee Involvement Team.  Required Training For Continuous Improvement Employee Involvement/Safety meetings. Annual IIACCP training. Annual Sexual Harassment Awareness Training. Plant Emergency Evacuation Training. Statistical Process Control. Active involvement in BOS program Active participation in MQP  Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
