Job description

Liston Electric is growing quickly and currently seeking an Electrician! We are seeking a self-motivated, reliable and organized individual to perform in all aspects of commercial construction projects. Five (5) plus years of electrical experience is required. The successful candidate will report to our Electrical Superintendent. Must be dependable and reliable, disciplined and willing to follow company processes, persistence with following tasks through to completion and be a team-oriented person with superior verbal communication skills. You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of commercial customers.


Responsibilities:

  • Install and repair electrical equipment and fixtures
  • Install various types of raceway including MC, EMT and rigid conduit
  • Troubleshoot motor and control systems
  • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
  • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including disconnects, transformers, transfer switches and switch gear
  • Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans
  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
  • Train and develop your electrical apprentice
  • Adhere to all quality and safety codes. Comply with current National Electric Code.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in electrical contracting
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment, power tools and hand tools
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding verbal and written interpersonal communication skills
