These programs are designed to cultivate future leaders by exposing participants to various business functions and high-impact projects over a set period, typically 18-36 months. Participants receive mentorship from senior executives, formal training, and hands-on experience in areas such as finance, marketing, operations, or strategy. The goal is to fast-track participants into management or leadership roles within the company upon completion of the program.

The primary responsibility of the Business Development Manager is to blend inside and outside sales efforts, build trust and rapport with clients and potential clients, and expand Helixstorm's brand across new markets.
Additionally:
  • Drive MRR Growth: relentless focus on net new Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR)
  • Net New Logos: obsession with identifying, pursuing, and winning new client accounts
  • Market Presence: driving brand awareness and visibility within our market
  • Pipeline Mastery: building, managing, and advancing a clean, qualified sales pipeline
  • Drop-Off Management: proactively managing sales process stages to avoid pipeline leakage.
  • Identify and Pursue Growth Opportunities

  • Represent the Helixstorm brand with professionalism, integrity, and a positive attitude.
  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Management
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through networking, research, referrals, and inbound channels.
  • Own the pipeline - continuously manage, refine, and advance opportunities in CRM.
  • Product Education and Technical Sales
  • Develop a deep understanding of Helixstorm's managed IT services and Security offerings.
  • Articulate complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Conduct consultative sales discussions focused on value and outcomes, not just products.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Market Presence
  • Identify, pursue, and cultivate relationships with key market influencers and strategic partners.
  • Attend and represent Helixstorm at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive brand visibility and thought leadership in the market.
  • Sales Execution & Reporting
  • Achieve monthly and quarterly MRR growth targets through new client acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting in CRM.
  • Take full ownership of the sales process - from first contact through signed agreement and handoff.
  • Travel to prospects and potential industry events.

Experience and Background Required
  • Proven success in business development, sales, or advisory roles - preferably in cybersecurity, IT services, or managed services.
  • Obsession with driving revenue growth and acquiring new clients.
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing and optimizing a complex sales pipeline.
  • Technical acumen and ability to simplify and sell technical solutions.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus).

Physical Requirements
This role requires the ability to:
  • Communicate verbally and hear clearly.
  • Sit, stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, and move between locations.

  • Maintain both near and far vision.
  • Operate a computer keyboard with regular exposure to screen glare.
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Travel by automobile or airplane up to 25%.

This role requires the ability to:
  • Concentrate, analyze, and interpret information to solve problems.
  • Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with colleagues, customers, and partners.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain professionalism under pressure and during conflict resolution.
