Additionally, s/he will co-manage the employer relationships, and also assist with the design of engagement strategies for a group of employers within the Consulting industry. S/he contributes career advice and industry expertise to the development and delivery of value-added, client-focused career management services for the 550 full-time MBA students and 380 evening MBA students. **The Director** supports the MBA admissions process through various prospective student career programming. **The Director** works closely with McDonough School of Business faculty, staff, students, employers, alumni and other stakeholders who may influence the career path of the students.**The Director**, along with the MBA Career Center’s Career Advisors and student Peer Advisors, are functional and industry experts who provide career management advice to students and recruiting guidance to employers. An Operations Coordinator supports the Director in managing on-campus and virtual employer presentations, events, interviewing, and programming. All Directors will have student Peer Advisors and MBA Student Organizations assigned within their respective industry practices. **The Director** focuses on the consulting industry and coaches students whose focus is on a specific function vs. an industry or who are uncertain of their career focus.The MBA Career Center has expertise in 14 Industry Sectors. These are aligned with student demand and are:* Consulting* Consumer Goods & Retail* Energy & Clean Tech* Entertainment, Media & Sports* Entrepreneurship* Financial Services* Government* Healthcare* Hospitality* Industrials* International Development* Not-for-Profit/Social Impact* Real Estate* Technology**Work Interactions**This position reports to the Assistant Dean. This person also provides leadership and support to Industry Team members. S/he will have primary responsibility for external relationships and account management on behalf of career management. This person may interact closely with MSB and GU faculty and administrators, alumni, employers, and MSB Board members, and serve as key liaison between employers and students.**Requirements and Qualifications*** Bachelor's degree and five plus years of experience in career counseling required* Experience within MBA recruiting process and management experience in a Human Resources environment.* Extremely strong interpersonal communication abilities and strong team orientation required.* Proven experience handling corporate and/or university relationships.* Proven leadership.* Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-task environment with tight deadlines.* Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff on professional development and career skills.* Must be strategic and innovative and focus on holistic, systemic solutions.* Strong leadership, coaching/advising skills are required.* Demonstrated ability to collaborate and deliver results by working with others.* Must have significant experience/expertise in at least one of the industries/functions.* Must have recruiting experience as a hiring manager or recruiting/HR professional.* Must be skilled at delivering consulting-styled case interviews.* Strong knowledge of Microsoft (word, xls, ppt), understanding of general recruiting databases, and budgeting experience is preferred**Work Mode Designation**This position has been designated as Hybrid.
