Job description

Find your calling at Mercy!The Director, Business Development is responsible for leading a segment of the regional team in pursuit of measurable growth in key strategic geographic areas and/or service lines, enabling exceptional service and care at an affordable price to healthcare consumers in our geographic (and virtual) footprint. This position will work closely with regional operations, managed care, marketing, and direct contracting.Position Details:This is a hybrid position based in Oklahoma City.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration required or equivalent experience

  • Master's in Health Services Administration, MBA or related advance degree preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 7-10 years sales experience, with a strong track record of delivering results at (or above) plan

  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data and information in a planning and decision-making process

  • Demonstrated leadership experience

  • Health system strategic planning &/or business development experience, or pharmaceutical sales experience preferred

Skill Requirements:

  • Confirmed sales/business development leadership experience.

  • Understands and can articulate Mercy Mission, Vision and Integrated Marketing branding, strategy and policies.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills (written and oral).

  • Ability to effectively interact with a wide range of external audiences & organizational levels, including hospital and clinic presidents

  • Comfort with daily CRM/PRM usage; as a pipeline and activity management/prioritization tool

  • Strong relationship-building skills

  • Excellent negotiation skills

  • Ability to create constructive tension

  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, financial background a plus Excellent project management skills.
