BASIC FUNCTION
Under general direction of the Lab Supervisor/Pretreatment Coordinator, this position is involved with all facets of the treatment laboratory procedures. Duties include sampling, standard method testing, computer data entry, QA/QC reporting and maintaining laboratory inventory at appropriate levels.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- *Collect and inspect samples utilizing testing procedures.
- Ensure EPA Standard Methods testing and procedures are be followed within the treatment plan lab operations and pretreatment program.
- Monitor and maintain inventory within the department to ensure sufficiency of stock necessary to complete daily tasks.
- Perform computer data entry.
- Ensure quality of work meets standards within the treatment plan lab operations and pretreatment program.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Occasional bending, kneeling, climbing, twisting, reaching and lift approved weight above shoulder level.

- Vision must be correctable to 20/20.
working environment and conditions
- The essential functions of this position will be performed in an indoor environment.
- Certain required sampling will be outdoors in all types of weather elements. Proper confined space training will be required for compliance.
EDUCATION, Experience and TRAINING
- Graduation from high school or demonstrate the ability to work at this level based on past work experience.
- Obtain an Indiana Department of Environmental Management valid Operator's License or a California State University Volume I and II certificate within 12 months.
- Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form.
- A pleasant and friendly demeanor.
- Willingness to take on additional tasks as assigned.
- Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Familiar with basic OSHA standards and safety practices.
