Soft Tech Consulting is seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused professional to support an IBM Maximo 9.X Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) implementation and user outreach program for a government client. This position combines training, stakeholder engagement, user support, scheduling, project coordination, and requirements gathering activities.

The ideal candidate is an outgoing communicator who enjoys working with end users, facilitating meetings, conducting interviews, delivering training, and helping organizations improve business processes through technology. Prior IBM Maximo experience is preferred but not required. The ability to build relationships, communicate effectively, and lead discussions with users and government stakeholders is critical to success in this role.


  • Support the development and execution of the CMMS User Outreach and Communications Plan according to the Program’s annual goals and objectives.
  • Conduct interviews with business stakeholders and end users to gather feedback, identify business and training needs, and document user requirements.
  • Develop, administer, and analyze user surveys to measure customer satisfaction, identify trends, and summarize findings for the  team.
  • Coordinate and support two annual User Town Hall meetings, including planning, logistics, presentation materials, meeting facilitation, and follow-up communications.
  • Prepare and disseminate user communications, including email broadcasts, maintenance notifications, release bulletins, outage notices, and other field announcements.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between STAC/STOC and the CMMS Tier III team regarding general inquiries, Work Orders, Change Requests, and procedural updates.
  • Assist in monitoring production Splunk dashboards to identify user access issues and proactively coordinate with affected users or with support teams for proper incident resolutions.
  • Assist with application functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and the development and maintenance of functional documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve customer engagement, enhance the user experience, and support the successful delivery of services.
  • Perform duties and tasks as assigned by the Program Manager.

  • Degrees in related disciplines, or a degree in computer science are preferred.
  • Three to five years of directly related experience is preferred.
  • Prior hands-on functional /testing knowledge/experience with COTS and/or custom web-based application is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Can-do attitude with a demonstrated ability to get things done under minimal supervision.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite including Requirements tool such as Jira and Testing tools.
  • US Citizen at a minimum an Interim DoD Secret Clearance.
