Job description

Job Title: Project Manager - Facilities Maintenance / Base Operations Support

Work Location: Mayport, Florida


About the Role: 

The Program Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, execution, and lifecycle management of the contract. This role provides strategic direction and operational oversight to ensure successful delivery of all maintenance services in accordance with contract requirements, company standards, and customer expectations

What You'll Be Doing: 

  • Provide cradle-to-grave management of the contract, ensuring all work performed under the Performance Work Statement (PWS) meets contractual requirements, performance standards, and customer expectations.
  • Lead all aspects of contract execution while ensuring compliance with company policies, federal regulations, contractual requirements, and applicable statutes.
  • Establish program goals, priorities, and performance metrics that align with the company's strategic objectives and the customer's mission.
  • Direct day-to-day contract operations, including program reviews, customer engagement, internal meetings, business development activities, and overall program performance.
  • Lead contract modifications, negotiations, and execution of contractual changes.
  • Maintain full ownership of the contract's Profit and Loss (P&L), including budgeting, forecasting, revenue tracking, cost control, and financial performance.
  • Develop and implement program assessment processes to evaluate performance, identify improvement opportunities, and drive operational excellence.
  • Oversee financial management activities to maximize productivity, profitability, and cost efficiency.
  • Partner with union leadership on labor relations matters, including negotiation and administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
  • Collaborate with supervisors and technical staff to understand customer requirements and ensure successful planning and execution of projects.
  • Supervise and mentor management and operational staff to achieve contract objectives and maintain high performance.
  • Promote a culture of safety, quality, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.

What We're Looking For: 

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing Base Operations Support (BOS) or similar government service contracts, including specialized experience in facilities maintenance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) operations, federal regulations, and government contracting principles.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as IBM Maximo, is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required government security clearance.
  • Ability to maintain access to government installations as required by the contract.
  • Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record in accordance with company policy, and the ability to operate company or government vehicles as required.
