M3C is seeking a Business Systems Analyst - IBM Maximo Expert (ID700) for a permanent position with one of our clients located on‑site in Montréal East. Business Context:

Our client is looking to onboard a Business Systems Analyst - IBM Maximo Expert (ID700) to support the evolution, optimization, and governance of the IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS 9.0) as part of a major transformation initiative. The selected candidate will act as the functional lead, bridging business needs with Maximo’s technological capabilities, and collaborate closely with business teams, IT, implementation partners, and external vendors.

Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst - IBM Maximo Expert:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements related to asset management, maintenance, procurement, and operations;
  • Translate business needs into clear functional specifications aligned with organizational objectives;
  • Recommend EAM best practices, optimize native Maximo functionalities, and propose improvements to enhance operational efficiency;
  • Produce and maintain key documentation such as processes, requirements, use cases, and test scenarios;
  • Plan, coordinate, and validate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure solution quality;
  • Contribute to the design, evolution, and maintenance of Maximo MAS, ensuring alignment with business and IT standards;
  • Provide Level 3 support, ensure data consistency, and act as a liaison with vendors (Level 4).

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years as a business analyst, business systems analyst, or functional analyst;
  • Proven experience with IBM Maximo (V7.x / MAS 8.x / MAS 9.0);
  • Strong understanding of key Maximo modules: Asset Management, Work Management, Preventive Maintenance, Purchasing;
  • Experience in asset‑intensive environments (utilities, manufacturing, transportation, recycling, etc.);
  • Experience migrating or co‑migrating from Maximo 7.x to MAS (Asset);
  • Knowledge of MIF, REST APIs, SQL, Power BI, and BIRT (Asset);
  • IBM Maximo / MAS certifications (Asset);
  • Bilingual: French and English.
