Job Overview

As a Laboratory Analyst for our Senneville location, you will perform analysis of data for quality and completeness and determines if results are as expected. 

Several opportunities are available within a few departments. Primary responsibilities will include:

 

 Analytical Chemistry:

  • Carry out different techniques for analyzing substances to test, allowing for identification and quantification as well as verification of various parameters;
  • Work in collaboration with scientific staff;
  • Perform these analyses using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and spectrometry.

Bioanalysis:

  • Perform technical analyses using various extraction techniques (protein precipitation extraction, solid-phase extraction) and LC-MS/MS to quantify molecules of interest;
  • Handle and analyze biological samples;
  • Validate sample analysis in a multidisciplinary lab using a variety of extraction techniques, manual tests, automated equipment, and analytical instruments;
  • Work closely with the scientific team.

 

Genetic Toxicology:

  • Perform the following techniques:
    • Bacterial Mutation Test (BMT)
    • Chromosome Aberration Test (CAT)
    • InVitro Micronucleus (IVM)
    • Mammalian Cell Mutation Test (MCM)
    • Micronucleus Test (MNT), Comet Assay
    • Cytotoxicity Test and Mode of Action Assay (MOA)
  • Analysis of bacterial or cell cultures; manipulation of animal organs;
  • GLP-compliant collection and processing of analytical data;
  • Documentation of activities and data processing;
  • Work in collaboration with scientific staff.

Immunotoxicology:

  • Perform sample analysis work using various assays and techniques such as ELISA, ECL, Cell Culture, PBMC extraction, Luminex, ELISPOT, and Flow Cytometry; 
  • You will also perform data analysis to determine if results are within expectations; all in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).  

Formulation:

  • Prepare formulations for dosing, in solution, suspension or powder mix using various techniques while adhering to GLP regulations;
  • Operate various computer programs and equipment such as PH meter, homogenizer, balance, osmometer, densimeter and glove box;
  • Handle samples in a fume hood using aseptic method;
  • Prepare study materials according to protocol.

  • Holder of a collegial diploma in Biotechnology, Medical Laboratory or any other related field;
  • Bachelor in Immunology, Biology, Biochemistry or any other related field;
  • Ability to work under time constraints, outstanding organizational skills, and ability to adapt to changes;
  • Work with precision, pay attention to detail and strive for quality work;
  • Team player with a collaborative and positive approach;
  • Open-minded and eager to learn in a lab environment.

 

 

Role Specific Information:

 

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1;
  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station, John Abbott College and from the REM station of l’Anse à l’Orme to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station;
  • Salary: $23.75/hr;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, daytime schedule. Depending on the business needs, you may have to do overtime and/or weekends on rotation;
  • Permanent position as of the hiring, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
