Starbuck Barista Lead - Maverick Casino & Hotel Elko
Pay range: $14 - $15 per hour plus tips
The Starbucks Barista Lead crafts a memorable experience for our customers by providing timely service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable location environment. The Barista Lead is responsible for helping train Baristas, processing transactions on the register/POS, following recipes to prepare coffees and beverages per specifications, and maintaining the coffee bar while delivering excellent customer service and meeting food safety policies.

• Greet and assist customers while anticipating their needs.
• Prepare and serve food, coffees, teas, specialty beverages per brand standards.

• Delivers legendary customer service to all customers by acting with a "customer comes first" attitude and connecting with the customer. Discovers and responds to customer needs.
• Follows Maverick and Starbucks operational policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety and security, to ensure the safety of all associates during each shift.
• Maintains a clean and organized workspace so that associates can locate resources and product as needed.
• Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Provides quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines for all products.
• Recognizes and reinforces individual and team accomplishments by using existing organizational methods
• Create a friendly atmosphere for guests and coworker.
• Performs related and/or other duties as required.
Requirements

High school or GED desirable
• Must Complete 2-week barista basic certification training.
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 8 hours).
• Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with a minimum of supervision.
• Outgoing personality, positive attitude strong communication skills, and pleasant/clean appearance.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, co-workers and management to their understanding.
• Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money.
• Ability to grasp, bend, and stoop; push or pull heavy loads weighing up to 40 lbs.
• Weekly load stacking up to 100 lbs.
• Constant computer/POS Register and bar equipment usage
• Constant receiving detailed information through oral communication
• Constant talking, expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word
• Occasional distinguishing, with a degree of accuracy, differences or similarities in intensity or quality of flavors and/or odors
• Constant clarity of vision at near and/or far distances
• Punctuality and regular and reliable attendance.

WORKING CONDITIONS: This position typically works shifts, including weekend and holidays. Will work near moving or mechanical parts; May work near toxic/caustic chemicals and with fumes or airborne particles. Constant handling with microwave oven. Continuous standing for entire shift. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
