Job Description Summary
The Maverick Mascot Student Worker serves as the College's mascot, Maverick, helping create school spirit, student engagement, and a strong campus presence at events and activities. This position supports the Digital Content Specialist and the Athletics Director by participating in social media content creation, promotional campaigns, campus events, and community outreach opportunities. Responsibilities include appearing as Maverick at Mustang Athletic competitions, student activities, community events, campus tours, and special College functions. The student worker will help create engaging photo and video content while representing the College in a positive, energetic, and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications
Qualifications / Ability To:
• Wear and perform in the Maverick mascot costume for extended periods of time
• Maintain high energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism while representing the College
• Attend Mustang Athletic competitions, campus events, and community activities as scheduled
• Assist with social media content creation through mascot appearances, photos, and videos
• Follow College branding, mascot, and social media guidelines always
• Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on event schedules
• Communicate effectively with the Digital Content Specialist and event staff
• Maintain dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a positive attitude
• Work independently while following directions carefully
• Lift, move, and manage mascot costume components and related materials safely
