Job description

Go Maverick Group has a fast-growing, Ohio-based wholesale distributor client in the childrenโ€™s and baby spaceโ€”and the leading supplier of essential products to businesses, nonprofits, and government organizations nationwide. Theyโ€™re scaling quickly, and looking for driven, early-career professionals who want more than just a jobโ€”they want ownership, visibility, and a clear path to grow.

As an Account Manager, youโ€™ll step into a high-impact role where youโ€™ll both manage key customer relationships and actively grow new business. This is a perfect opportunity for someone 2โ€“4 years into their career whoโ€™s ready to take the next stepโ€”owning accounts, building strategy, and directly influencing revenue.

You wonโ€™t be doing this aloneโ€”youโ€™ll work cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and vendor partners to bring ideas to life and drive results.

What Youโ€™ll Do

  • Build and develop strong relationships with key decision-makers across your accounts
  • Learn your customersโ€™ businesses inside and outโ€”how they operate, what they need, and where you can add value
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through outreach, networking, and referrals
  • Own your pipelineโ€”from lead generation to closing deals
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent Child Source and expand your network
  • Collaborate across teams (Marketing, Customer Service, vendors) to deliver solutions and drive results
  • Help develop account strategies, pricing approaches, and growth plans
  • Bring forward ideas based on market trends and customer insights
  • Present solutions confidently and negotiate new business opportunities

What Youโ€™ll Get

  • Real responsibility and ownership early in your career
  • Exposure to major clients and decision-makers
  • Collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Clear growth opportunities as the company scales
  • Travel opportunities (~50%), including industry events and client meetings

Requirements

What Theyโ€™re Looking For

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • ~2+ years of experience in sales, retail, or a customer-facing role
  • Strong communicator who can build trust and influence others
  • Proactive and self-motivated
  • Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and negotiating
  • Quick learner with a passion for growth
  • Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials as well as deliver compelling sales presentations
  • Confident in your own abilities and a strong listener
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Experience in consumer goods, wholesale, or marketing is a plus

Benefits

If you are looking to join a growing organization, with tremendous opportunity, where your hard work significantly impacts everyoneโ€™s success, then this is the place for you. While they believe in work/life balance, they feel in-person collaboration is essential. This is an ONSITE position located at the Richfield, OH office. They offer personal flexibility with a competitive salary, sales bonus, full benefits (medical, dental, vision, life insurance) HSA, generous PTO, product discounts, and 401k options.
