Job description


Position Summary:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will provide technical expertise and work as a part of a team involved in the Maintenance of Blow Mold machines and support equipment. Your responsibilities will range from performing repairs and maintenance of plastic molding machinery. Including all mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulics, and conveyor systems. Requirements include maintaining and troubleshooting electrical devices, PLC programming, integration. A successful candidate will have Industrial Maintenance experience, knowledge of industry controls, and current technologies. Outstanding communication skills and the ability to meet project requirements are a must. The position Completes PMs; tracks progress and prepares updates related to Continuous Improvement Projects and Daily Work Orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all production equipment
  • Replaces or repairs parts on machines such as bearings, filter, wiring, valves, gauges and switches.
  • Start devices to test their performance.
  • Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
  • Required to participate in on-call program and may be required to work additional hours as required.
  • Ability to use a variety of common hand and power tools. Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical
  • Properties.
  • Follows all safety rules and procedures and observes the operations to insure a safe environment.
  • Upholds Site and Corporate Environmental Policies by following all Environmental Policies, Procedures and Work
  • Instructions.
  • Responsible for ensuring the compliance of "Food Product Safety" & "Product Quality" of the molded product, to meet the expectation of our customers.
  • Understands and follows Hazard Materials Regulations 49 CFR Part 172.704 (a)(1) General awareness/familiarization training, (a)(3) Safety training, and (a)(4) Security awareness training.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, robotics, electrical systems, automation
  • Experience with manufacturing process, labeling systems, and palletizing a plus
  • AB RS Logix 500 and 5000, Barber Coleman Maco Controls, Siemens PLC
  • Knowledge of industrial sensors and pneumatic systems
  • Excellent analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
