The school is located in the heart of Indianapolis and was created to meet the demand for high-quality education in the city’s urban core. Herron-Riverside operates under the charter of the City of Indianapolis Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation.


Role Description

Herron-Riverside High School is seeking candidates for a full-time math teaching position that could include upper-level courses, AP courses, and Dual-Credit courses. Candidates must hold a valid Indiana teaching license for grades 9-12 (or be in the process of obtaining a license). This is a full-time, on-site role for a math teacher at our campus. The teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, delivering classroom instruction aligned with the curriculum, and assessing and supporting the academic progress of students. The role also includes collaborating with fellow educators on curriculum development and providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.


Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Mathematics and a solid foundation in Mathematics Education
  • Proficiency in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development
  • Certified or Qualified Teacher with relevant teaching credentials
  • Ability to foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in high school settings or with diverse student populations is a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred
