An essential function of this position is the ability to work in person and physically report for work on site.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Title I Elementary Math Teacher is responsible for supporting Tier I and Tier II Math instruction aligned with Virginia Department of Education Instructional standards and National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM) effective math teaching practices. This position collaborates with school instructional staff and leadership to provide targeted mathematics support without supplanting existing staffing or roles within school district allocations. Title I Elementary Teacher focuses on NCTM's effective math teaching practices, unpacking and understanding standards, and task-standard alignment with Tier II. The Title I teacher will serve as a K-5 mathematics teacher, focusing on assisting teachers with differentiated instruction, data-driven decision-making, and coaching practices to accelerate student learning in accordance with Title I, Part A grant requirements, and PWCS policies.
