Description:

SANYโ€™s Citizenship & Science Academy of Rochester is excited to announce the opening of an Academic Intervention Specialist role for the 2024-2025 academic year. We have a great environment for new teachers and encourage experienced teachers to apply! New York State Certification Required.

As an Academic Intervention Specialist, you will:

  • Assist with preparation and instruction - (Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies)
  • Work closely with small groups of students and provide intervention - Tier 2 and 3 Interventions
  • Actively participate in weekly meetings and attend all school-wide events
  • Share data collected with stakeholders (classroom teacher, parents)
  • Implement classroom policies and procedures
  • Lead students to and from specials/lunch
  • Effectively manage student behavior
  • Follow Response to Intervention (RTI) process (i.e. administering researched based interventions, progress monitoring)
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:
