Job description

BOLD ISD is seeking a skilled, student-centered Mathematics teacher to serve our high school students in grades 912. This educator will teach across multiple course levels from foundational math through advanced coursework and will play a key role in building student confidence, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The ideal candidate meets students where they are, fosters a classroom culture in which mistakes are learning opportunities, and communicates math in ways that connect to real-world applications.

ย  ย  ย ย  ย  ย Primary Responsibilities:ย 

  • Plan, deliver, and assess standards-aligned math instruction across assigned grade 912 courses
  • Establish a positive, growth-oriented classroom environment where all students can access rigorous content
  • Use data to inform instructional decisions and provide timely, meaningful feedback to students
  • Communicate proactively and regularly with students, families, and colleagues
  • Participate in PLCs, department collaboration, and school-wide professional development
  • Prepare students for state assessments (MCA, ACT) and post-secondary readiness
  • Explore opportunities to offer dual-credit or advanced coursework in partnership with post-secondary institutions

  • Qualifications:
  • Required: Valid Minnesota teaching license in Mathematics (Secondary, grades 512 or 912) or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport with high school students and make math accessible and meaningful
  • Preferred: teaching multiple levels of secondary math (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics)
  • Familiarity with dual-credit or concurrent enrollment frameworks
  • Coaching experience at the middle school or high school level

    Salary is $45,774 - $65.000 depending on Experience.
