Position: Two RiversMath League Team Coach
Location: Two Rivers High School
Dates: October 2026 through February 2027
Candidates must have a background in Mathematics and/or High School Mathematics Teaching License.
Job Responsibilities
- attend all weekly practices and meets
- recruit students
- perform administration duties at each meet
- host our home meet, preparation of practice materials
Desired skills
- ability to structure and facilitate student work groups
- ability to coach students one on one in new mathematical topics as well as novel topic applications
- ability to teach higher level analytic problem solving skills, deep comprehension of advanced mathematical topics beyond the scope of traditional high school mathematics curriculum
- comfort in simultaneously teaching and learning new/unfamiliar mathematical topics
- comfort modeling your own learning process for students, flexibility with estimation techniques
- comfort with divergent thinking and exploring multiple pathways to solutions of advanced mathematical problems
