Job description

Mountain Lake Public School is seeking aย (1.0 FTE) Paraprofessional. Officialย duties will be determined.ย 
Mountain Lake is located in the southwestern Minnesota along the Hwy 60 corridor between Mankato and Worthington.ย  The district has 500 students and 80+ employees.ย

Schedule/Contract:ย  1.0 FTE
7:45-3:15

ย 

Essential Job Functions

ย 

- ย Assists and guides students to reinforce reading, language arts, mathematics, computer instruction, and other skills.ย 

ย 

- ย Works with students individually and in small groups to reinforce basic learning and implement assigned programs.

ย 

- ย Assists professional staff in the administration and correction of classroom exercises, tests and assessments.

ย 

- ย Assists in classroom preparations and strategies for reinforcing instructional materials and skills according to individual student needs.

ย 

- ย Assists with classroom behavioral management to minimize disruptions, ensure a safe and orderly classroom, and ensure students are on task.

ย 

- ย Assists students in non-instructional areas, such as supervising the student lunch programs, bus duty, playground duty, and other related non-instructional areas.

ย 

- ย Follows all applicable safety rules, procedures and regulations governing the proper manner of assistance for all students, including those with disabilities or other special needs.
