Job description

Position Overview

Power your future with Qualus as a Materials Manager. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of materials management, including inventory management and warehouse logistics. Develops and executes policies, processes, and procedures to support all aspects of inventory management forecasting/planning, warehouse operations and materials investment recovery.

Responsibilities

Material Management

  • Manage communications with internal customers to ensure efficiency of material operations and customer satisfaction
  • Manage material investment recovery activities to ensure optimal identification and disposal of obsolete material
  • Coordinate material requirements to ensure adequate supply and efficient movement of material
  • Evaluate material shortages and assist in determination of appropriate inventory level
  • Ensure consistent inventory management practices across the project

Warehousing/Logistics

  • Verify accurate receipt, issuing, staging, and fulfillment of material across material yards
  • Verify all material management activities are in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other corporate policies and procedures
  • Manage inventory asset management by conducting perpetual audits of inventory and supplier programs
  • Support investment recovery and disposal activities

Policies/Processes/Procedures

  • Manage material budget to align with overall Project budget
  • Develop and implement best practices for material management for Project
  • Track performance and identify opportunities to improve material operations for Project
  • Monitor warehouse/staging areas and compliance to establish controls and facility access
  • Comply with all policies, codes, and regulations applicable to the position and company
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in the area of specialty and 6 years of related experience with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • 10 years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of:
    • Utility, budgeting, materials management and procurement practices, environmental, and hazardous material handling.
  • Demonstrates skills such as:
    • Analytical, interpersonal and communication.Leadership, working on a team-oriented environment, decision making, project management, planning and problem-solving skills.
