Job description

ALL ABOUT JENSEN INFRASTRUCTURE
Much like you, our founder, Don Jensen was looking for a way to support his family, so he started his Company in 1968. Since founded, we've been supporting communities across Arizona, California, Hawaii, Missouri, Nevada, and Washington.
Jensen Infrastructure likely has an impact on your daily life. We build culverts to take water away from your neighborhoods, underground utility boxes to hold cables, and manholes to allow workers access to the sewers deep below the roads we drive on. And that's just a small sample of what we do at Jensen on a daily basis.
When you work at one of Jensen's many locations, you will enjoy the close relationships and camaraderie of a small company while being part of a larger, well-established, growing company.
Position Summary
This position is the supply chain leader for the Company's Northern Nevada plant operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing the plant's integrated supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment between customer demand, production capacity, procurement, inventory, scheduling, and fulfillment.
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the position provides strategic leadership across multiple supply chain disciplines while developing a high-performing organization capable of supporting significant business growth. The role serves as a key member of the plant leadership team, partnering with Operations, Engineering, Sales, Finance, and Quality to optimize end-to-end operational performance, improve customer delivery, and maximize working capital efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities

Scheduling & Production Coordination
  1. Direct the creation and management of shop orders in IFS Cloud ERP.
  2. Work closely with Sales, Production, and Engineering to build realistic weekly schedules that balance demand, capacity, and priorities.

Order Fulfillment & Project Management
  1. Lead the Project Management and Sales Coordinator team responsible for custom and large-project orders.
  2. Ensure customer requirements are clearly communicated to scheduling and production.
  3. Drive coordination across purchasing, scheduling, and production to meet customer delivery dates to the best of our ability.

Supply Chain Leadership
  1. Build and lead a high-performing organization through effective leadership, coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
  2. Develop front-line professionals into effective business leaders through mentoring and accountability.
  3. Establish performance expectations using KPIs, regular operating reviews, and continuous feedback.

Continuous Improvement
  1. Champion lean principles, process standardization, and data-driven decision making.
  2. Drive ERP utilization and data accuracy across all teams you lead.
  3. Support broader plant KPIs (OEE, man-hours per ton, etc.) through reliable order fulfillment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and decision-making skills; strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills; and the ability to manage multiple assignments and meet established deadlines. Additional skills and attributes include:

  • Strong background in supply chain, production scheduling, and project/order management.
  • Proven experience leading teams (direct or indirect) - you have successfully developed people and improved processes.

  • Solid understanding of lean manufacturing, inventory management, and production planning.
  • Experience leading teams, including leaders of teams, and developing future leaders.
  • Experience leading ERP optimization initiatives.
  • Experience managing significant inventory investments and working capital.
  • Demonstrated success driving Lean transformation and continuous improvement.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, CPSM, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (or the ability to obtain certifications).
