Job description

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Lab Assistant Intern (full-time, 40 hours per week in the summer & part-time, 15-20 hours per week). This position will be in Rolla, MO.
Summary:
Conducts laboratory analyses, experiments, and processes to support research and development projects.
Responsibilities:
  • Performs sample preparation.
  • Conducts routine experiments and process data for routine work under supervision.
  • Knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping standards and practiced in daily activities.
  • Learns and keeps familiar with lab procedures.
  • Keeps a well-documented laboratory notebook and have it co-signed within two weeks.
  • Responsible for communicating with supervisor and team members.
  • Records and communicates any unexpected differences in test results.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills.

Credentials and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related discipline; candidates from other academic backgrounds will also be considered.
