Job description

Job Title: Material Flow Engineer

Location: Detroit, MI, USA

Type: Full - time

Responsibilities
Design, analyze, and optimize material flow processes within manufacturing operations.
Develop material delivery strategies to support production requirements and minimize downtime.
Create and maintain material flow layouts using AutoCAD.
Collaborate with production, logistics, warehousing, and supply chain teams to ensure efficient movement of materials.
Support new product launches, plant modifications, and capacity expansion projects.
Conduct material flow simulations, bottleneck analyses, and process improvement studies.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Monitor inventory flow and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Requirements: Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience with material flow planning, plant logistics, and warehouse operations.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Experience supporting manufacturing launch activities is preferred.
