Job Responsibilities:
As an Engineering Student at Magna Electronics, you will join a dynamic team of professionals, implementing cutting edge technologies on both existing and new development products of Autonomous Driving. The Engineering Student will be placed on the Optics Team in the Interior Sensing Systems group. This role is primarily support of optical validation including tasks such as engineering experimentation, execution of test plans, and report generation. The role can be flexible to design and implementation of engineering equipment such as electrical & mechanical testing.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
โ€ข Engineering Experimentation of optical elements
โ€ข Execution of engineering test plans
โ€ข Technical report generation
โ€ข Technical writing
โ€ข Support imaging optical verification
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
โ€ข Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program pursing a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering.
โ€ข Knowledge of SW Development Lifecycle
โ€ข Some Software development experience in Python and C++ is a plus
YOUR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
โ€ข Excellent academics (cumulative GPA greater than or equal to 3.0 as a general rule)
โ€ข Part-time availability year round
SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS:
โ€ข Proficient Computer knowledge and skills, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
โ€ข Professional Communication skills (written and verbal)
โ€ข Proficiency in use of basic electrical tools, i.e., oscilloscope, multimeter โ€ข Demonstrated success in resolving technical challenges by leveraging strong problem-solving skills
