The Opportunity | Material Planner
Under minimal supervision, plans, schedules, coordinates materials. Assist and support back shift manufacturing activities through operations across work centers and assist supervision in keeping assigned products on schedule. Utilize available computer technologies and existing systems to perform the functions of this position.

Hourly: $25.38-$36.63

Your Responsibilities:
  • Oracle/MRP as it relates to the execution of the production plan
  • Review and execute production schedule per Oracle/MRP and associated applications
  • Plan, organize and control production activities to ensure product flow
  • Interface with other departments to prevent or address interruptions in material flow.
  • Production Control Procedures such as material pick/issue, serialization, lot splits
  • Inventory Control, including material identity and traceability
  • Product Bills of Materials, Drawings, and manufacturing work instructions
  • Project plans and schedules, including the ability to identify and act on planning issues as needed
  • Shipping/Logistics processes
  • Prepare, review and maintain production reports as necessary
  • Initiate requisitions to Purchasing for the procurement of material and services in accordance with MRP.
  • Ensure that the items are released for purchase and planned for delivery on schedule and communicate with the purchasing agents as required concerning scheduling and delivery.
  • Participate in readiness reviews, schedule and demand reviews, sourcing meetings, and project team meetings as needed
  • Communicate scheduling conflicts/concerns and recommend solutions for success
  • Backup for storeroom associates and planners.

What you Bring:
  • Due to DoD requirements, candidates must be US citizens
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals
  • Bachelor's degree in Materials management experience, Manufacturing planning / scheduling
  • 4-6 yrs Stockroom, Expediter, and Capacity planning experience
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with knowledge of ERP, MRP, MS Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Oracle system is an asset
  • Ability to maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level and effectively communicate with others.
  • Lifting objects weighing 50 pounds to waist height and transporting a distance of 10 feet.
