Job description

Position Summary: 2-3 Week Assignment
The Materials Associate shall assist in coordinating and participating in the receipt, storage, loading, unloading, delivery, and inventory of items, supplies, and equipment. They will also verify stock and identify losses, maintain the organized warehouse layout, and ensure safe operation of equipment.
Position Responsibilities:
โ€ข Represent our Company in a professional, safe, and efficient manner.
โ€ข Participate in physical inventory to verify stock and control reporting to identify losses.
โ€ข Load delivery vehicles to ensure that all items and supplies are properly secured.
โ€ข Load, unload, prepare, sort, and organize material, tools, and various other items.
โ€ข Maintain and clean warehouse facilities to keep them in an orderly, clean, and safe condition.
โ€ข Adhere to safety practices and courteous behavior while in the warehouse and operating company equipment.
โ€ข Prepare orders by pulling them from stock to meet outbound requirements.
โ€ข Receive deliveries of items and ensure specifications, quantity, and quality of orders are correct and/or inspect items for damage before signing to accept responsibility for the material.
โ€ข Stocks equipment and supplies to maintain required inventory levels.
โ€ข Interprets inventory, delivery, and safety metrics to streamline warehouse processes and ensure best practices are being followed.
โ€ข Maintains documentation when items are taken from/returned to inventory.
โ€ข Scan incoming shipments to ensure proper inventory tracking.
โ€ข Record and track inventory data using automated systems.
โ€ข Partners with Warehouse Manager to evaluate inventory levels to proactively order low stock.
Qualifications:
โ€ข Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
โ€ข Required: Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and general safety policies.
โ€ข Required: Ability to operate various types of vehicles/equipment and pass appropriate certification courses and maintain certification (such as Forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.).
โ€ข Required: Excellent interpersonal skills.
โ€ข Preferred: Associate degree.
โ€ข Preferred: 3+ years of related experience - Trade experience a plus.
Physical Demands:
โ€ข Must be able to adhere to large amounts of standing, walking, bending, squatting, sitting, and lifting.
โ€ข Must be able to pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
โ€ข Capable of working in environments with dust, noise, and fluctuating temperatures, including potential for seasonal heat/cold.
โ€ข Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearing appropriate PPE.
Travel Required:
โ€ข Occasional. Not authorized for Company Vehicle usage.
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
