Description

SAIC is seeking a Material Coordinator to support the Navy JBCP at our Hanahan, SC location. This position is 100% on-site. 
Candidate will perform a wide spectrum of tasks associated with shipping and receiving, inventory, and logistics support.

Job Duties:

  • Assist with inventory tracking, staging, packing, storage, and shipping tasks to include palletizing, wrapping, banding
  • Ability to perform material picks to fulfill work orders/kitting for equipment builds, test, and shipment as directed
  • Use of database inventory management and bar-coding systems to maintain accurate inventory records of material receipt, movement, and shipping
  • Ability to unpack and verify the accuracy of shipments by checking for discrepancies, and reporting non-conformance
  • May be required to assist in performing technical work, which may include but is not limited to performance of periodic preventive maintenance operations on equipment
  • Requires the ability to learn and apply established methods, procedures, and techniques from various equipment manuals or work instructions
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and conducting logistics projects as assigned
  • Assist with inventory metrics tracking and weekly logistics reporting
  • General understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM), and drawings
  • Assistance in research and development of equipment related documentation (Technical Manuals, Parts Lists)
  • Ability to perform program document reviews and provide recommendations to resolve deficiencies

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have a High School diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of work experience, to include any combination of the following: performing inventory, staging, packing, storage and shipping of electronic equipment and related material; operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment including a forklift; and utilizing a computer-based inventory and bar-coding system for entry, identification and tracking of material

Required Security Clearance:

  • No security clearance is required on first day of employment but must be able to obtain a secret clearance
