Split Shift - Mon to Fri 12pm to 8pm  
 
The Material Handler is responsible for moving, organizing, and maintaining raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods throughout the production environment. This role supports manufacturing operations by ensuring materials are available where needed, inventory is accurate, and shipments are handled efficiently and safely. This role will require operating a forklift and driving the company van to and from local vendors as needed. 
 
 
What you will do
  • Operate a forklift in the manufacturing shop.
  • Receive, count, and measure incoming material
  • Retrieve and store materials in the stock prep area and on stock shelves.
  • Scan material certifications to the corresponding job folders.
  • Set up and distribute material for CNC milling areas
  • Unload and reload trailers
  • Weigh all scrap bins for pick up
  • Maintain scrap bins
  • Cut raw stock material for shop floor
  • Safely operate Forklift to company standards
  • Maintain organization of jobs and material inventory.
  • Perform cleaning and general maintenance.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
What it takes
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of shipping and receiving experience
  • 1+ years of forklift experience
  • Forklift Certified
  • Inventory control experience preferred
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read blueprints, Use of SolidWorks and Mastercam.
  • Self-starter capable of dealing with a variety of tasks in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to solve problems that arise in a manufacturing environment without direct supervision while also performing as part of a team.
  • Ability to manage time and prioritize work in an effective manner.
  • Knowledge of Machining in a prototype manufacturing setting or related experience and education.
  • High standard of attention to detail.
  • Basic level of Microsoft Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel)
