Firestone Pacific Foods (FPF) grows, freezes, and packs frozen fruit products on behalf of food retailers and foodservice companies in the United States and overseas. Our fruit is harvested at the peak of ripeness, processed, and packed in our state-of-the art facilities shipment with a keen attention to quality and food safety. 

The Firestone Family began farming in Vancouver, WA, in 1896. In 2019, an impact investment fund managed by Agriculture Capital acquired FPF to build out a low cost, vertically integrated supply chain of high quality, organic blueberries operating at scale to address growing global demand for this nutritious fruit.  


Position Summary


The Material Handler records and maintains the flow of inventory into and out of the warehouse, from receiving, shipping, issuing, handling for stock at firestone warehouses.  The Material Handler is responsible for ensuring the correct product and quantity are issued, received, and shipped correctly within the inventory system both manually entering and scanning product into system. This position reports inventory shortages and discrepancies directly to Inventory Lead and Operations Supervisor.  


Essential Job Functions

  • Wrap loaded pallets according to company guidelines.  
  • Ensure electric jacks and/or forklifts are in working order and reports problem to Warehouse Manager.
  • Operate Company equipment with the warehouse functions and report if the system is not functioning as intended.  
  • Escalate to Shift lead or Operations Supervisor if there is a quality concern when opening Product on the lines.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.  
  • Follow all safety requirements related to operating the forklift and stretch wrap equipment.  
  • Report any accidents immediately to the supervisor.  
  • Follow company safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices.  
  • Stack and store materials in the appropriate locations efficiently.  
  • Compile with company policies and procedures.  

Secondary Job Responsibilities (when primary division not running)

  • Perform all tasks assigned by Shift Lead.  
  • Load and unload materials from equipment, totes and pallets.  
  • Feed or place materials onto equipment for processing.  
  • Assists operators in set up of production lines.  
  • Mix materials to customer specification.  
  • Stack and wrap materials on pallets.  
  • Attach appropriate labels to materials.  
  • Must be willing to be cross-trained and move to other areas when needed.  
  • Maintain a safe, clean and organized production area.  
  • Ensure that all products are processed to the highest standard of quality.  
  • Keep a constant visual on Forklift Operators.  
  • Compile policies and procedures.
