Job description

Material Handler

Toyo Tanso USA is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to support production operations through efficient material management, inventory control, shipping and receiving activities, and warehouse organization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring materials are accurately allocated, tracked, and delivered to support manufacturing operations while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Release materials to production according to dispatch schedules.
  • Allocate materials within the inventory system based on work order requirements, including material grade and size specifications.
  • Maintain and control inventory of new, existing, and miscellaneous materials.
  • Receive and verify incoming material deliveries.
  • Prepare graphite scrap, dust, and blocks for shipment and sale.
  • Manage the return of materials from production, ensuring proper segregation by grade and size.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness in accordance with 5S principles.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and material traceability.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures while performing all warehouse functions.
Qualifications
  • Forklift certification required.
  • Working knowledge of shipping and receiving operations.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel/Word.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work orders, and material specifications.
  • Understanding of production material flow and inventory control processes.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Engineering, Customer Service, Production, Sales, Scheduling and Purchasing teams.
