Job description

Warehouse Inventory Specialist

Purpose and role of job: Responsible for calculating accurate tallies of finished goods and raw materials and supplying it to production when it is needed. Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Communicating between incoming and outgoing shifts all information for warehouse that effects production and warehouse areas. Cross training for shipping and 69GMR warehouse duties. Calculates accurate tallies and documentation during the loading, unloading, and warehouse process. Inspects all equipment used on a daily basis and reports defects to management. Maintains an efficient product flow throughout the warehouse operation. Maintains good housekeeping of the warehouse area. Supports production lines with material requests. Provides accurate and legible paperwork to maintain an accurate database. Insures the integrity and accuracy of all inventories on a daily basis. Operates the radio frequency gun to conduct movements, barcode, and inventories. Assists with repack and labeling operations when necessary. Observes all safety rules and uses proper safety equipment at all times. Insure the quality of the palletized product and store it in accordance to warehouse policies and procedures. Assist in the performance of preventative maintenance. Provide accurate and legible documentation of any issues and concerns. Provide accurate and legible documentation of product changes. Follow the proper procedures of lock out tag out policy. Performs other duties as necessary when directed to do so. Work environment: Noisy environment requiring hearing protection; manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses. Other PPE required based upon specific tasks. Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times. Physical requirements: Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift. Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift. Occasional climbing and reaching into machines to fix jams. Occasional reaching overhead during shift. Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver. Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs. Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control. Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift. Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift. Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area. Occasional climbing of steps. Balance required for some tasks.
