Job description

LRS Federal, a veteran-owned and led business specializing in construction management and facility engineering, is seeking a skilled Construction Quality Control (CQC) Managerto join our team atFort Detrickin MD. With two decades of experience supporting federal clients, we pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service and upholding the highest standards in every project.


What You'll Do:
You'll play a critical role in supporting mechanical, electrical, and project engineers, ensuring all construction renovation and modernization activities meet contract requirements and industry standards. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Inspecting Contractor Work:
    Conduct on-site inspections and review contractor submittals. You'll provide daily written reports in the USACE Resident Management System (RMS), detailing your recommendations on whether work is compliant with all contract plans and specifications.
  • Reviewing On-Site Materials and Equipment:
    Inspect contractor storage facilities, materials, and equipment for compliance with contract documents, EM 385-1-1, and OSHA standards. Your observations will be documented in daily RMS reports.
  • Observing Contractor Methods:
    Monitor the methods and performance of contractors and subcontractors. If anything doesn't measure up to contract requirements, you'll document your findings and advise relevant Government personnel.
  • Analyzing Schedules:
    Use Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 to assess project progress and analyze the schedule for any out-of-sequence work that could impact the critical path.


What We're Looking For:

  • Strong background in construction quality assurance, with experience on federal projects preferred
  • 10+ years in building construction/renovation/modernization
  • Hands-on knowledge of EM 385-1-1 and OSHA requirements
  • Prior USACE experience is preferred - Experience utilizing / participating in three-Phase Inspection Process

  • Comfortable generating daily reports and using USACE Resident Management System (RMS)
  • Detail-oriented and solutions-driven, with sharp analytical and communication skills
