Job description

Why this role exists

The way software is built, bought, and adopted is changing faster than any market we've seen before.

AI is reshaping products, teams, workflows, and entire business functions. As we expand beyond Forgood AI products, how we position, launch, and grow products must evolve as well.

We're looking for a Product Marketing and GTM leader who is already operating in that future.

This is not a role where we'll teach you how to use AI. You'll be joining an AI-first organization where AI is embedded across product development, operations, GTM, and decision-making. We expect you to bring new ideas, frameworks, workflows, and systems that make us better.

We want someone who can teach us.

Someone who has a strong point of view on how AI changes marketing, messaging, positioning, demand generation, product launches, and category creation and who can turn that thinking into measurable business outcomes.

What you'll ownMessaging & Positioning
  • Own company-wide messaging and positioning across products, audiences, and market segments.
  • Develop differentiated narratives that resonate with executives, practitioners, and business teams.
  • Translate complex capabilities into simple, compelling customer value.
  • Create messaging frameworks that scale across marketing, sales, product, customer success, and partnerships.
  • Continuously refine positioning based on customer feedback, market shifts, and competitive intelligence.
Category Creation & Thought Leadership
  • Shape how the market thinks about AI-enabled work, collaboration, productivity, and business outcomes.
  • Build narratives that elevate the conversation beyond features and functionality.
  • Partner with executives to develop industry points of view, keynote messaging, launch narratives, and thought leadership programs.
  • Establish the company as a leader in defining what AI-first organizations look like.
Product Launches & Growth
  • Lead GTM strategy for new products, features, and market expansions.
  • Drive launch planning, customer storytelling, enablement, analyst relations, and campaign execution.
  • Build AI-powered systems that accelerate experimentation and growth.
  • Identify repeatable growth loops across enterprise, self-serve, partnerships, and community channels.
Competitive & Market Intelligence
  • Develop a deep understanding of competitors, market trends, emerging technologies, and customer needs.
  • Build positioning frameworks and battlecards that influence product and GTM strategy.
  • Help leadership make strategic decisions through market insight and customer understanding.

What "AI-First" Means Here

We're not looking for someone with opinions about AI in marketing. We're looking for someone who has already shipped things.

Maybe you automated your demand gen reporting and saved 5 hours a week. Maybe you built a lead nurture sequence using an LLM and some duct tape. Maybe you launched a landing page you designed in Claude on a Sunday because you wanted to test a hypothesis before Monday's meeting.

We want to see the experiments - the ones that worked, and the ones that didn't. That track record of tinkering is what "AI-first" means here.

Who You Are

  • 3-5 years of experience in an early-stage, high-growth B2B startups in marketing, growth, strategy, or GTM leadership roles.
  • Recent MBA from top 10 MBA programs is an advantage.
  • Exceptional storyteller and communicator.
  • Proven ability to create positioning and messaging that drives adoption, engagement, or revenue.
  • Strong strategic thinker with a bias toward execution.
  • You've personally built or automated something with AI - in your job, as a side project, or just because you were curious. You don't wait to be shown how tools work.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and creating structure where none exists.
  • Builder mentality: you don't wait for playbooks-you create them.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first 90 days:

  • Refresh and strengthen core company messaging and positioning.
  • Establish a differentiated market narrative.
  • Launch at least one major GTM initiative with AI-powered systems baked in from the start, not added later.
  • Introduce new frameworks, systems, or workflows that make the broader organization more effective.
  • Make us smarter than we were before you arrived.
  • Ship at least one lightweight automation or workflow that makes the team measurably faster.

The expectation isn't that you'll learn our playbook.

The expectation is that you'll help write the next one. And build the tools that run it.

Salary Range

Compensation $130,000 - 200,000 (Note: We have the flexibility to hire at different levels, which may impact the corresponding pay range.)
