RANGE: Adjunct instructors are hired on a semester basis and are paid per lecture hour equivalent (LHE). Minimum (less than a masters) and Maximum (Doctorate).
DESCRIPTION
Antelope Valley College invites applications for our adjunct (Temporary, part-time) faculty applicant pool for the following Computer Science (CIS) Instructor.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
  • Instruct students in the assigned discipline
  • Assignment may include teaching courses during the day, evening, on-line courses and/or off-campus sites

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Applicant must meet one of the following requirements
  • Most current Minimum Qualifications for Faculty in California Community Colleges:

Master's in computer science or computer engineering OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in mathematics, cybernetics, business administration, accounting or engineering OR Bachelor's in engineering AND Master's in cybernetic, engineering, mathematics or business administration OR Bachelor's in mathematics AND Master's in cybernetics, engineering, mathematics, or business administration OR Bachelor's degree in any the above AND a master's degree in information science, computer information systems, or information systems OR the equivalent.
(Note: Courses in the use of computer programs for application to a particular discipline may be classified for minimum qualifications purposes, under the discipline of the application.)
  • Antelope Valley College Equivalency: Equivalency not needed, per faculty division
