Lecturer A/2 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $5,507 - $6,677 per month
Lecturer B/3 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,221 - $13,224 per month
Lecturer C/4 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $6,825 - $14,523 per month
Lecturer D/5 Full-Time Equivalent Salary Range: $8,593 - $15,211 per month

Anticipated hiring range is generally at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience. Most new lecturers are hired at the Lecturer A or B rank. See the Faculty Salaries At-a-Glance guide for more information.

Position Summary:

The Construction Management Department in the College of ECC is collecting application materials for a pool of lecturers with positions available as determined by need during the 2026-27 academic year. Appointments from the lecturer pool are temporary and often made just prior to the start of the academic term.

Minimum Qualifications:

The minimum education requirement for a lecturer appointment is a BS Degree in Construction Management or closely related field. Experience managing construction projects operations, budgets, schedules is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, MBA, or closely related field. Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities:

Lecturer positions in the department carry responsibilities in the areas of teaching, which includes but is not limited to in class instruction, weekly office hours, and grading. Teaching assignments are based upon qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.

The Department:

The Construction Management Department is one of six departments in Chico State's College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Construction Management. It offers an ACCE-accredited, 4-year bachelor of science in construction management degree program and a minor in heavy construction and electrical construction. The Department maintains close ties with industry and takes pride in its career-oriented programs focused on practical application. The Department currently has 6 full-time faculty, 5 part-time faculty and over 550 undergraduate majors.
