Job description

Position Summary...Help shape the next generation of VIZIO Audio productsโ€”TV audio, sound bars, home theater, and accessoriesโ€”by defining features, performance targets, and readiness for compliance and licensing. As a Product Manager III, youโ€™ll translate customer needs and technical constraints into clear specifications and roadmaps, align cross-functional teams and external ODM partners, and drive execution from concept through launch. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and customer experience.

What you'll do...
  • Define product behavior and performance goals; write feature PRDs and detailed specifications for ODMs, chipset vendors, and QA.
  • Build and maintain roadmaps, specs, and executive-ready documentation and presentations.
  • Drive specification projects end-to-end, aligning stakeholders on timelines, dependencies, and progress reporting.
  • Lead ODM technical design reviews to clarify feasibility, tradeoffs, and execution plans.
  • Support compliance and technology licensing programs; test hardware/firmware and provide feedback and approvals.
What youโ€™ll bring
  • Hardware product management experience in Audio consumer electronics or adjacent domains (e.g., whole-home, connected, portable BT/Wiโ€‘Fi speakers).
  • Ability to produce precise PRDs/specs and translate technical detail for executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Familiarity with modern CE audio ecosystems (SoC, BT/Wiโ€‘Fi chipsets), offshore ODM development, and QA validation.
  • Exposure to regulatory/safety standards (e.g., FCC, UL/IEC) and/or licensing programs (e.g., HDMI, Dolby/DTS, Wiโ€‘Fi/BT).
  • Strong program/project management across multiple workstreams using tools like JIRA and Confluence.
